Why Dressing Well Is About Fewer Decisions, Not More

I’m writing this because there is a common assumption that dressing well requires time.
More options, more thought, more effort in deciding what to wear.
In reality, the opposite tends to be true.
Those who are consistently well put together are rarely thinking about it in the moment. That part has already been resolved. What remains is a system rather than a selection.
The difference lies in what has been removed.
Garments that create hesitation, pieces that almost work but not quite, fabrics that behave unpredictably. Once these are eliminated, everything that remains aligns.
This is not about minimalism.
It is about precision.
And once that precision is established, the process becomes effortless.
